DESAIN PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK INTEGRATIF JENJANG MI/SD (Dari Konvensional Menuju Kontekstual yang Fungsional)

Buku yang ada di hadapan para pembaca budiman ini terdiri dari 8 bab yang mengkaji tentang pembelajaran tematik, diberi judul Desain Pembelajaran Tematik Integratif Jenjang MI/SD. Pada bagian awal atau bab pertama mengulas tentang historisitas pembelajaran tematik yang mendeskripsikan bahwa pembelajaran tematik bukanlah hal baru dalam pengembangan kurikulum di Indonesia, sebab cikal-bakal dan mula-mula sudah ada sejak kurikulum sebelumnya; KBK dan KTSP, hanya saja proses penyempurnaannya terus berlangsung ketika dicanangkan dan ditetapkan kurikulum 2013, melalui peraturan pemerintah dan permendikbud yang terus mengalami pengembangan hingga revisi ketiga di tahun 2016. Pada bagian ini juga dikemukakan bahwa pembelajaran tematik adalah alternatif perubahan atau inovasi pembelajaran dari konvensional menuju kontekstual yang fungsional.

Pemikiran Pandang Ke Jepun Di Tanah Melayu Dalam Akhbar Dan Majalah Sebelum Perang Dunia Kedua

Kajian ini akan merungkai kewujudan pemikiran Pandang Ke Jepun di Tanah Melayu dalam akhbar dan majalah sebelum Perang Dunia Kedua. Kaedah kajian yang digunakan adalah berdasarkan kaedah penelitian akhbar seperti Warta Malaya, Saudara dan Warta Ahad serta majalah seperti Al-Imam, Neracha dan Majalah Guru yang menggalakkan pemikiran Pandang Ke Jepun. Perkembangan yang berlaku di seluruh dunia ekoran dari imperialisme Barat telah mendorong masyarakat Melayu memeriksa kembali keadaan mereka. Keadaan masyarakat Melayu yang mundur dalam segenap lapangan hidup dan jauh ketinggalan berbanding bangsa-bangsa asing semasa pendudukan British di Tanah Melayu telah menimbulkan satu perasaan kebimbangan di kalangan para intelektual untuk memajukan masyarakat mereka. Oleh kerana pihak kolonial British tidak begitu cenderung dalam menggalakkan usaha pemodenan di kalangan penduduk pribumi, sebaliknya lebih mengutamakan usaha-usaha yang boleh mengukuhkan lagi kepentingan mereka, maka tanggungjawab yang lebih besar terpaksa dipikul oleh para intelektual Tanah Melayu. Media utama yang digunakan sebagai saluran penyebaran idea dan pemikiran baru mereka ialah akhbar dan majalah. Cetusan idea mengenai pemikiran Pandang Ke Jepun di Tanah Melayu pertama kali diutarakan pada bulan Julai 1906 melalui penerbitan Al-Imam yang dipelopori oleh Kaum Muda. Di Tanah Melayu, kemunculan sebegitu banyak akhbar dan majalah dalam separuh pertama abad ke-20 amat berkait rapat dengan fenomena pemodenan. Oleh itu apabila kita hendak meneliti kewujudan pemikiran Pandang Ke Jepun dalam usaha pemodenan masyarakat Melayu pada masa ini, akhbar dan majalah merupakan dokumen sejarah yang sangat berguna. Jepun dilihat sebagai model pembangunan masyarakat Melayu kerana ia telah membina kemajuan dan menjadi begitu moden setelah menerima pengaruh Barat dan mencontohi negara-negara Barat dari pelbagai segi seperti sistem pemerintahan, ekonomi, kebudayaan, ilmu dan teknologi dalam proses pemodenan zaman Meiji. Sebahagian besar nilai-nilai mulia dan tinggi dalam masyarakat Jepun dianggap seiras dengan tuntutan Islam itu sendiri.

Kajian ini akan merungkai kewujudan pemikiran Pandang Ke Jepun di Tanah Melayu dalam akhbar dan majalah sebelum Perang Dunia Kedua.

DRM, a Design Research Methodology

The initial motivator for the development of DRM, a Design Research Methodology, and the subsequent writing of this book was our frustration about the lack of a common terminology, benchmarked research methods, and above all, a common research methodology in design. A shared view of the goals and framework for doing design research was missing. Design is a multidisciplinary activity occurring in multiple application areas and involving multiple stakeholders. As a consequence, design research emerges in a variety of disciplines for a variety of applications with a variety of subjects. This makes it particularly difficult to review its literature, relate various pieces of work, find common ground, and validate and share results that are so essential for sustained progress in a research community. Above all, design research needs to be successful not only in an academic sense, but also in a practical sense. How could we help the community develop knowledge that is both academically and practically worthwhile? Each of us had our individual ideas of how this situation could be improved. Lucienne Blessing, while finishing her thesis that involved studying and improving the design process, developed valuable insights about the importance and relationship of empirical studies in developing and evaluating these improvements. Amaresh Chakrabarti, while finishing his thesis on developing and evaluating computational tools for improving products, had developed valuable insights about integrating and improving the processes of building and evaluating tools.
