The Governance of Legal Pluralism challenges both the marginalization of legal arrangements and discourses in social anthropology, as well as the marginalization of legal anthropology within social anthropology. It aims at combining the related fields of political and legal anthropology in order to contribute towards a meaningful (re)integration of the anthropology of law into the mainstream of social anthropology.

Puisi merupakan seni kata, tak sebatas hanya pada seni konsep. Penyair, semacam tengah bejoget dengan kata-kata. Dalam puisi, tidak ada makna yang final. Karya sastra ini, tetaplah wujud yang terus-menerus ada, dalam lingkaran interpretasi. Kepadatan bahasa yang terkandung didalamnya, acapkali menghanyutkan jiwa. Membenamkan pembacanya dalam rima, mengajak pendengarnya mendulang refleksi nyata. Dengan makna yang mendalam, puisi mampu melembutkan sikap, meluhurkan perilaku, hingga dapat merubah dunia. Berbekal pendekatan sosiologi sastra, penulis hendak menyelami kebermaknaan dari buku antologi puisi Menyimak Ayat Ombak karya Shafwan Hadi Umry, dalam kaitanya pada aspek-aspek sosial dan gambaran kritik sosial, secara akademis. Antologi puisi Menyimak Ayat Ombak, merupakan buku kumpulan puisinya yang pertama; merangkum sejumlah sajak yang ditulis dalam rentang waktu relatif lama, yakni pada rentang tahun 1976-1994. Melalui antologi puisi tersebut, Shafwan Hadi Umry mencoba membawa daulat budaya ke tengah pergolakan batin manusia, meskipun sejenak. Pikirkanlah hidup ini meskipun sejenak, ujarnya. Antologi puisi tersebut, merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang ditulis oleh generasi terbaik dieranya, yang ditulis dengan kekayaan makna dan disajikan dalam berbagai gaya bahasa.

Problems of Sociology in Education

The author examines some of the major problems that arise in the sociology of education. It also sheds light on the methods which are frequently employed in studying them. The problems in question relate to two aspects of the level of education which people attain. The first of these, and the one which most studies and data take into account, is the level of education in the ordinary sense of the word, meaning that which is expressed in terms of formal qualifications. This book, however, is concerned with the invisible or real level of education, that is, the level of composite knowledge which individuals actually possess but which has no formal expression. Professor Girod sets out to show that formal and real levels of evaluation often bear little or no relation to one other and demonstrates their respective differences in evolution. In addition, he examines the problem of the inequality of opportunity from the point of view of access to education, both in its real and formal aspects. It is to this problem that the methods in this book relate as they consist of techniques for differentiating between the effects of the various factors contributing to these inequalities.

This is an open access book. The education sector during the Covid-19 Pandemic is currently undergoing a total reformation. The education process at schools and colleges which was carried out face-to-face has now turned into virtual face-to-face learning utilizing various platforms. Also, the Covid-19 Pandemic has impacted the research and development process in the field which must be delayed due to the risk of Covid-19 transmission. In regard to this, the educational process does not run optimally. In fact, education is the process of developing the future generation of a country that are supposed to supported by all parties while looking for solutions to the problems at hand. As part of social sciences, the objects of historical study include humans who are bound by the dimensions of space and time. This confirms that history is part of science that is tied to human life. Therefore, various policies taken by the government must also be reviewed from the past historical experience with adjustments to the conditions of the era. Moreover, historical experience will provide an idea that humans are always innovating to solve the problems they face, especially policies related to education and learning.Based on those problems, History Education Study Program of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta will hold an international conference on "Future Teaching and Learning: A Disruptive Innovation." The aim of the conference is providing a forum for exchanging information and finding solutions to learning and teaching problems in the current era of disruption, considering that the Covid-19 Pandemic has changed everything.
