Masalah yang dihadapi para pembelajar hadis cukup beragam, seperti banyak hadis yang tidak disebutkan sanad dan periwayatnya, penyebutan matan tanpa dijelaskan kualitasnya, atau kandungan makna yang secara lahiriah tampak kontradiktif. Oleh sebab itu, buku ini hadir untuk menjawab berbagai permasalahan tersebut. Sementara itu, ada dua subjek dalam pembahasan buku ini, yaitu kajian hadis secara internal dan eksternal. kajian internal adalah kajian matan, sedangkan kajian eksternal adalah kajian sanad. Kajian internal bertujuan mengamalkan sunnah, sedangkan kajian eksternal bertujuan menjaga orisinilitas hadis. Buku ini akan mengantarkan para pelajar, santri, dan mahasiswa memahami hadis secara benar sebagaimana yang ditunjukan ulama. Hal itu penting karena disiplin ilmu hadis memerlukan para pemikir baru untuk menggali produk-produk hukum yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman dan memecahkan berbagai persoalan yang dihadapi masyarakat.

Hubungan anatara satu manusia dengan manusia lain dalam memenuhi kebutuhan lain, harus terdapat aturan yang menjelaskan hak dan kewajiban keduanya berdasarkan kesepakatan.
