Konsep kepemimpinan selalu berkembang dari waktu ke waktu. Seiring dengan berbagai tantangan global, kepemimpinan harus dinamis dan berorientasi jauh ke depan. Suatu organisasi akan “semakin tak berdaya” jika kepemimpinan yang diterapkan tidak adaptif dan visioner. Kepemimpinan pendidikan abad 21 adalah sebuah pendekatan baru dalam memimpin dan mengelola sekolah atau lembaga pendidikan yang mengacu pada tantangan dan perubahan yang terjadi pada abad 21. Penerapan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, pengembangan kurikulum yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan hidup, dan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana belajar terjadi sangat perlu untuk dikembangkan dan menjadi perhatian yang intens bagi seorang pemimpin di abad 21. Semua pemimpin harus berpikir besar dan melakukan langkah besar, namun etika kepemimpinan tetap menjadi jiwa dalam praktik kepemimpinan apalagi dalam kepemimpinan pendidikan.

Kepemimpinan pendidikan abad 21 adalah sebuah pendekatan baru dalam memimpin dan mengelola sekolah atau lembaga pendidikan yang mengacu pada tantangan dan perubahan yang terjadi pada abad 21.

Transforming Curriculum Through Teacher-Learner Partnerships

Empowering learners for life requires a fundamental shift in higher education curriculum design. New priorities, pedagogies, technologies, spaces, and assessment strategies are required to enable learners to take ownership of their learning. “Student-centeredness” concepts are still prescriptive in nature as most decisions on curriculum, assessment, teaching, and learning approaches are still teacher-centric. Teachers are developing student-centered learning environments without the involvement of the learners in the planning, decision making, and/or design process. In addition, some lecturers are still practicing the traditional approaches of content delivery and conventional assessment methods rather than experimenting with innovative practices suited for student-centered approaches. Therefore, there is an ongoing need for research focused on the importance and effectiveness of a paradigm shift in education that involves student-teacher partnerships, fueled by innovative teaching and learning designs, where students take an active role and contribute as partners in learning. Transforming Curriculum Through Teacher-Learner Partnerships captures experiences and evidence among teachers in exploring the possibility of active student participation in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment through teacher-learner partnership. The chapters address issues of teacher-learner partnerships in designing the learning environment and how student-centered methods create resilient, adaptable, and future-capable learners. It attempts to holistically analyze issues related to public finance, which has been criticized for lack of transparency and justice in wealth distribution. This book explores these criticisms and discusses the principles of Islamic finance that may be applied to macroeconomic policymaking to create a better economy overall. It presents a case for a flat tax system, to make the economy more resilient to shocks, and financing methods that limit interest-rate-based debt contracts and allow greater risk sharing among the market participants on a broad scale. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, this book models the Malaysian economy based on policies that apply the fundamental Islamic finance principle of risk sharing to demonstrate its benefits in spurring growth, promoting distributive justice, rendering the economy more stable, strengthening the potency of monetary policy, enhancing fiscal governance, and improving financial inclusion.
