Program penerimaan zakat tidak dapat diarahkan selain kepada peningkatan taraf hidup fakir miskin Q.S.At-Taubah ayat (60). Zakat merupakan poros dan pusat keuangan negara yang meliputi bidang moral, sosial dan ekonomi. Dalam bidang moral, penegakan hukum zakat mengikis habis sifat kerakusan, keserakahan, sifat kikir dan bakhil si kaya. Dalam bidang sosial, hukum zakat mengajak orang memiliki kepedulian terhadap orangorang tidak beruntung dan berperan sebagai alat untuk menciptakan persamaan antara kaya dan miskin. Sedang dalam bidang ekonomi, hukum zakat mencegah sifat kapitalisme atau penumpukan kekayaan di tangan segelintir orang. Di dalam Syariat Islam ada banyak ibadah yang terkait dengan memberi harta kepada orang lain, zakat hanya salah satunya saja. Di luar zakat, kita mengenal sedekah atau infaq sunnah, nafkah, mahar, wakaf, hibah, fidyah, kaffarah, cicilan, pinjaman, pembebasan hutang, memelihara anak yatim, membebaskan budak, qurban, aqiqah, dan lainnya.

Di dalam Syariat Islam ada banyak ibadah yang terkait dengan memberi harta kepada orang lain, zakat hanya salah satunya saja.

ZAKAT PRODUKTIF KONSTRUKSI ZAKATNOMICS: Perspektif Teoretis, Historis, dan Yuridis Zakat di satu sisi masuk ke dalam wilayah fikih ibadah, sehingga ia berkaitan langsung dengan beberapa kaidah fikih dan prinsip soal ibadah. Salah satunya ialah prinsip ta’abbud (penghambaan diri secara total pada Allah). Di sisi lain, zakat bersifat sosial yang bertujuan meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat. Dipandang dari aspek sosial-ekonomi, zakat bersifat ta’aqquli (rasionable) yang bertujuan mengayakan masyarakat ekonomi lemah. Seiring berjalannya waktu, zakat tidak selalu bersifat konsumtif, akan tetapi sudah banyak yang mengarah kepada pengelolaan yang bersifat produktif, tujuannya adalah menjadikan zakat sebagai modal usaha bagi masyarakat. Sehingga dengan modal itu, ada harapan mampu mengubah kondisi mustahik menjadi muzaki. Ada dua cara pemberian harta zakat kepada para mustahik: (1) dengan cara tamlik (pemberian secara langsung yang menjadi haknya) dan (2) dengan cara qardl al-hasan (pinjaman tanpa bunga).

A New Arabic Grammar of the Written Language

This is a revised second edition of A New Arabic Grammar of the Written Language first published in 1962. It is based on and replaces Thatcher's Arabic Grammar and has a vocabulary of over 4,000 words, almost twice as many as in the old Thatcher, while the number of chapters has been increased from forty-nine to fifty-two.The Supplement contains a number of new features. Apart from selections from the Qur'an, fables, stories, newspaper extracts, advertisements and letters, additional material in the form of extracts from classical and modern Arabic writings and proverbs is included. Appendix A provides a useful introduction to the main colloquial Arabic dialects, Appendix B, a useful reading guide, and Appendix C, further grammatical information not supplied in the first edition.This is above all a practical grammar, not an advanced reference grammar like Wright's. It is meant for the beginner who is not familiar with the peculiarities of Semitic languages. It will meet most students' needs for the first two or three years of their study.
