DAMPAK STRATEGI DAN PRAKTIK SERTA PERAN MEDIASI KUALITAS LAPORAN KEBERLANJUTAN TERHADAP STOCK PRICE CRASH RISK

Studi ini meneliti hubungan antara risiko hancurnya harga saham (Stock Price Crash Risk/ SPCR) dengan strategi, praktik, dan kualitas laporan keberlanjutan. Fenomena ini muncul karena banyaknya SPCR yang mengakibatkan kerugian bagi investor di pasar modal. Penelitian ini menggunakan data arsip dan analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, regresi data panel, asumsi klasik dan tes sobel. Sampel diambil berdasarkan judgment sampling dan menemukan 304 pelaporan dipelajari selama periode 2010-2017 (8 tahun). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi dan praktik laporan keberlanjutan stand alone dapat menurunkan stock price crash risk (SPCR), sedangkan penerapan assurance dan GRI pada praktik laporan keberlanjutan tidak berdampak terhadap (SPCR). Hal ini disebabkan karena entitas tidak diwajibkan oleh OJK untuk mengungkapkan praktik keberlanjutan assurance, dan entitas masih merasa keberatan bila ada tambahan biaya untuk assurance. Pedoman GRI juga bukan satu-satunya pedoman untuk praktik keberlanjutan karena adanya pedoman ISO 26000 dan Proper, hal inilah yang menyebabkan GRI pada praktik laporan keberlanjutan tidak berdampak terhadap SPCR. Penelitian ini menggunakan mediasi dan ditemukan bahwa SPCR akan turun apabila strategi dan praktik berkualitas. Kualitas laporan keberlanjutan tidak menyebabkan penurunan SPCR, meskipun perusahaan menerapkan assurance dan GRI. Hal ini disebabkan karena pelaksanaan praktik laporan keberlanjutan hanya sebatas formalitas pemenuhan kewajiban yang terlihat sebatas basa basi.
