Etika layanan adalah perilaku atau kode etik yang mengatur hal-hal positif yang harus dilakukan dan yang tidak bisa dihindari dalam kehidupan manusia, terlebih khusus dalam dunia pendidkan. Ketika kita mempelajari etika layanan, kita membutuhkan disiplin ilmu yang memadai, baik itu filsafat dan ilmu-ilmu relevan lainnya. Dan berbicara etika layanan, tentu tidak terlepas dari tinjauan analisis dari sudut pandang etika layanan itu sendiri. Di dalam etika layanan dikaji hal-hal yang terjadi pada etika layanan manusia itu sendiri dan perubahan fungsinya, kemudian perubahan yang terjadi setelah melakukan etika layanan. Etika layanan mempelajari tentang ilmu yang membantu penyusuan kode etik, sebagaimana disebut filsafat moral. Pada buku ajar Etika Layanan ini berpatokan pada: - Pengertian dari etika layanan; tentang “Apa itu Etika?”. - Penjernihan istilah Etika. - Etika sebagai cabang filsafat. Kohleberg mengatakan tentang “Perkembangan Kesadaran Moral, Shame Culture dan Guilt Culture”, Kebebasan dan Tanggung Jawab, Nilai dan Norma, Hak dan Kewajiban, Menjadi Manusia yang Baik.

Few symbols in today’s world are as laden and fraught as sharia—an Arabic-origin term referring to the straight path, the path God revealed for humans, the norms and rules guiding Muslims on that path, and Islamic law and normativity as enshrined in sacred texts or formal statute. Arabic is a Semitic language spoken by some 250 million people in an area stretching from Morocco in the West to parts of Iran in the East. Apart from its great intrinsic interest, the importance of the language for phonological and morphological theory lies, as the author shows, in its rich root-and-pattern morphology and its large set of guttural consonants. Dr Watson focuses on two eastern dialects, Cairene and San'ani. Cairene is typical of an advanced urban Mediterranean dialect and has a cultural importance throughout the Arab world; it is also the variety learned by most foreign speakers of Arabic. San'ani, spoken in Yemen, is representative of a conservative peninsula dialect.
