Developing Competent Teachers

Approaches to Professional Competence in Teacher Education

The aim of this book is to explore the implications of different ways of thinking about the professional competences of teachers. The intended readership is all involved in teacher education: in particular, Higher Education tutors; mentors and senior staff in schools supporting school-based ITE schemes; INSET providers and LEA advisory staff working in the area of NQT recruitment and staff development.
