Tulisan penulis berorientasi pada konsep “balanced scorecard pendidikan” dalam upaya mewujudkan kembalian pendidikan pada masyarakat. Konten dalam buku ini akan mengungkapkan proses seharusnya pendidikan berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan kembalian sosial pendidikan dan sejauh mana pendidikan memberikan peranannya dalam mengatasi persoalan-persoalan, di antaranya spillover (externality impacts), criminal participation, improve voters’ political behaviour yang pada akhirnya juga berimbas pada private returns. Sebuah pertanyaan besar dalam benak kita adalah bagaimana “kembalian pendidikan” berkontribusi pada kehidupan masyarakat maupun pada kehidupan pribadi setiap insan pemelajar, bagaimana peran lulusan pendidikan, terutama lulusan-lulusan pendidikan tinggi dari berbagai bidang yang terjun dalam kehidupan masyarakat setelah mereka berkiprah dalam dunia pekerjaan selama beberapa tahun, serta bagaimana peran lulusan pendidikan tinggi terhadap spillover (externality impacts), criminal participation, improve voters' political behaviour dan private returns”. Buku ini menyajikan data-data realitas dan faktual sesuai dengan kondisi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, selain memberikan rekomendasi sebagai jawaban atas problematika tersebut dari kacamata perspektif penulis. Melalui transformasi nilai pada kepemimpinan pendidikan efektif dan pembudayaan maupun pembisaaan pola perilaku insan pendidikan, diharapkan kembalian pendidikan dapat memberikan pengaruh dalam mengurai dinamika persoalan-persoalan yang ada dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa, dan bernegara.

Total Quality Management (TQM), is an integrated approach in satisfying customer needs in totality on continuing basis, through involvement of each and every employee of the organization, making continuous improvement on one side and an appropriate cost effective technology on the other side.
