Einar Enemark er en gådefuld kultfigur i dansk hiphop. Han var frontmand i MC Einar, som i slut-firserne gjorde dansksproget rap cool og ambitiøs. Men bag den skudsikre og solbebrillede facade gemte sig en usikker og stammende fyr, der gradvis kom i krigerisk konflikt med sit smart rappende alterego. Da MC Einar lukkede og slukkede forsvandt Einar Enemark i dobbelt forstand ud i mørket: Langt væk fra offentlighedens søgelys. Langt ind i alkoholismens tåger og i en tiltagende depression. På en Roskilde Festival tog han LSD og brød totalt sammen. Han røg på den lukkede med en psykose. Einar Enemark har siden kæmpet for at komme ovenpå igen. I selvbiografien Manden der var MC Einar tager han et både bittert og kærligt opgør med sig selv, familien, musikbranchen og tidsånden før og nu. Og rapperen, der i perioder har hutlet sig igennem som flaskesamler, har hevet sig selv så meget op, at han er musik-aktuel med en jazzet spoken word-udgivelse, hvor Einar for første gang selv har taget den fulde kunstneriske styring.
