Buku berjudul “Semua Tentang Merek” ini dimaksudkan untuk menambah perbendaharaan literatur pemasaran, khususnya tentang merek. Topik merek atau brand mungkin menjadi topik yang paling banyak dipilih untuk dikaji, dibahas, diteliti dalam penulisan karya ilmiah seperti skripsi, tesis, disertasi, dan artikel ilmiah. Buku ini diharapkan dapat membantu siapapun yang menjadikan merek sebagai topik penelitiannya, terutama mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi. Penulis menambahkan sebuah lampiran yang isinya memuat 27 kuesioner berbagai topik merek untuk memudahkan mahasiswa menyusun kuesioner penelitiannya. Dalam prakteknya, mahasiswa yang dibimbing penulis banyak yang mengalami kesulitan ketika menyusun pernyataan untuk kuesioner di skripsinya yang mengambil variabel penelitian merek. Jika kita membaca artikel di jurnal ilmiah ataupun di internet, topik merek yang menggunakan istilah brand image, brand awareness, brand equity, brand loyalty, dan sejenisnya sangat banyak, mungkin bisa lebih dari 40-an istilah. Setelah membaca berbagai referensi tentang merek, penulis menyajikan 6 istilah merek dalam 6 bab, mulai bab 1 sampai bab 6, dan 22 istilah merek lainnya dalam 1 bab yaitu bab 7. Dalam bab 7, setiap topik merek hanya dibahas singkat saja kurang lebih 1 halaman karena keterbatasan materi untuk setiap topik.
