Berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti, kenyataan di lapangan tidak dapat di pungkiri bahwa pembelajaran aktivitas kebugaran jasmani termasuk materi tidak digemari peserta didik, apabila guru pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan mengajar dengan metode dan pendekatan yang monoton dan kurang bervariasi, maka peserta didik akan cepat jemu dan enggan beraktivitas secara maksimal. Guru Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan (PJOK) harus lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Guru harus lebih dapat melihat karakteristik peserta didik SMP, usia 13-15 tahun yang cenderung menyukai bentuk-bentuk permainan (game). Proses pembelajaran dibuat agar peserta didik tertarik dan menyenangkan, serta bersemangat dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran. Perasaan senang dan gembira akan muncul dalam diri peserta didik bila perta didik diajak bermain. Apabila perasaan senang dan suka telah muncul dalam diri masing-masing peserta didik, maka hal ini akan efektif untuk memacu semangat dalam pembelajaran aktivitas kebugaran jasmani.
