Bossy Betty

Betty goes to the park to play with the other kids in the sand box and the kids in the sand box find Betty very bossy and they dont want to play with her. The kids called her Bossy Betty. Later that week there was a new girl in the sand box playing. Betty went over to play with the new girl Grace. When Betty started to be bossy to Grace, Grace talked back to Betty the same way. Betty didnt like that Grace was bossy to her. Betty learned that if she talks nice to her friends, they will treat her the same way.

Filsafat Ilmu

Filsafat yang dalam bahasa Arab Falsafah, inggris Philosopy, Yunani Philosophia. Filsafat merupakan salah satu bidang ilmu yang mengkaji cara berpikir secara mendalam tentang sesuatu. Pengertian ilmu berasal dari kata bahasa Arab ‘ilmu, Inggris science, Belanda watenchap, dan Jerman wissenchap. Pengetahuan dapat menjadi ilmu apabila mempunyai bidang garapan filsafat ilmu terutama diarahkan pada komponenkomponen yang menjadi tiang penyangga bagi eksistensi ilmu, yang penyangga itu ada 3 macam yaitu Ontologi, Epistemologi dan Aksiologi. Di dalam bidang ilmu ada 2 macam objek filsafat; yaitu objek material filsafat ilmu, merupakan suatu bahan yang menjadi tinjauan penelitian atau pembentukan pengetahuan atau hal yang diselidiki dan objek formal filsafat ilmu, merupakan sudut pandang darimana sang subjek menelaah objek materialnya. Filsafat ilmu adalah tinjauan kritis tentang pendapat ilmiah dengan menilai metode- metode pemikirannya secara netral dalam kerangka umum cabang pengetahuan intelektual. Filsafat Ilmu Pengetahuan berusaha membahas ilmu pengetahuan seba- gai obyeknya secara rasional (kritis, logis, dan sistematis), menyeluruh dan mendasar. Kami menyadari bahwa Buku ini masih jauh dari sempurna, oleh karena itu kritik dan saran dari semua pihak yang bersifat membangun selalu kami harapkan demi kesempurnaan buku ini. The Logic of Choice

An Investigation of the Concepts of Rule and Rationality

Originally published in 1968. This is a critical study of the concept of ‘rule’ featuring in law, ethics and much philosophical analysis which the author uses to investigate the concept of ‘rationality’. The author indicates in what manner the modes of reasoning involved in reliance upon rules are unique and in what fashion they provide an alternative both to the modes of logico-mathematical reasoning and to the modes of scientific reasoning. This prepares the groundwork for a methodology meeting the requirements of the fields using rules such as law and ethics which could be significant for communications theory and the use of computers in normative fields. Other substantive issues related to the mainstream of legal philosophy are discussed - theories of interpretation, the notion of purpose and the requirements of principled decision-making. The book utilizes examples drawn from English and American legal decisions to suggest how the positions of legal positivism and of natural law are equally artificial and misleading.
