Herausforderung der Banken im e-Commerce

Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Das Internet revolutioniert das Bankgeschäft: waren Kunden noch vor wenigen Jahren an die Öffnungszeiten ihrer Bankfiliale gebunden oder mussten auf einen Termin bei Ihrem Anlageberater warten, sind heute Information und Transaktion nur noch einen Mausklick weit entfernt. Das Internet schafft dem Bankkunden eine völlig neue Welt mit einem nahezu unbegrenzten Angebot an Informationsmöglichkeiten und einem zeitlich nicht mehr limitierten Zugang zu Finanzdienstleistungen. Experten gehen davon aus, dass langfristig nahezu 40 % aller Finanzgeschäfte ausschließlich über das Internet abgewickelt werden. Schon 2006 so die Prognose soll das Internet der strategisch wichtigste Vertriebskanal für Bankdienstleistungen sein, gefolgt vom Telefon und dem traditionellen Filialnetz. Der rasante Anstieg der Online-Konten auf insgesamt 20 Millionen, zu Beginn des Jahres 2002, belegt das große Interesse und die Akzeptanz der Kunden für Bankprodukte im Internet. Doch der Wettbewerb spielt sich nicht mehr auf den Internet-Banking-Seiten der jeweiligen Anbieter ab. Internet-Kunden sind verwöhnt durch die hohe Transparenz des Marktes für Finanzdienstleistungen im Internet, die unbegrenzten Wahl- und Vergleichsmöglichkeiten und die geringen Transaktions- und Wechselkosten. Die Bereitschaft, die Kontoverbindung zu wechseln bzw. mehrere Kontoverbindungen zu unterhalten, nimmt zu. Hinzu kommt das Auftreten einstmals fremder Akteure im Bankgeschäft, den sog. Non- und Nearbanks, auf einem von der Anbieterseite gesättigten Markt. Dies zwingt die Banken zu neuen Strategien im e-Commerce. Für die Banken geht es darum, sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen Internet und Kunden zu positionieren und die Rolle eines Netzwerkkoordinators einzunehmen. Die Entwicklungen an der Schnittstelle, zwischen Finanzdienstleistungen und e-Commerce, wird in der aktuellen Diskussion wesentlich durch die Aktivitäten im Zusammenhang mit Finanzportalen geprägt. Das Konzept des Finanzportals zielt darauf ab, dem Privatkunden einen Kompass für seine Finanzdisposition an die Hand zu geben. Dem Kunden soll im Zuge einer One-Stop-Shopping -Anlaufstelle im Netz die Möglichkeit geboten werden, sich über unterschiedlichste Finanzdienstleitungen zu informieren, diese zu vergleichen und auszuwählen. As a result, new e-commerce strategies and techniques are emerging, collaborative value creation is essential and e-business models are being refined and developed, with special attention towards IS in financial markets, health care and related institutions.
