Pembahasan materi pada bahan ajar ini dilakukan dengan cara memaparkan landasan teori mikro ekonomi Islam, sumber hukum dan implementasi mikro ekonomi Islam dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Buku ini terdiri dari 11 (sebelas) bab yang saling berkaitan. Bab 1 membahas teori ekonomi mikro Islam dimulai dari sejarah ekonomi mikro Islam, dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan karakteristik dan ruang lingkup ekonomi mikro Islam. Pada bagian lain dalam bab ini juga menganalisa kecendrungan ekonomi Islam baik dari sisi ilmu ataupun sebagai doktrin dalam masyarakat. Kemudian diakhiri dengan pokok-pokok pembahasan dalam ekonomi mikro Islam. Bab 2 membahas konsep konsumsi dalam perspektif Islam. Bab ini penting untuk memberikan pengetahuan dasar konsumsi yang diberlakukan dalam Islam, bagaimana Islam mengatur etika dalam berkonsumsi. Dan diakhiri dengan pendapat tentang adanya hubungan terbalik antara riba dengan sedekah dalam konsumsi. Bab 3 membahas perspektif Islam dalam permintaan. Bab ini mengulas banyak hal tentang jenis, hukum permintaan menurut ekonom, perilaku konsumen, dan diakhiri dengan bagaimana Islam memandang permintaan dalam perekonomian mikro. Bab 4 membahas teori kepuasan (utility) dalam Islam. Pada bab ini Imam al-Ghazali menjadi dasar utama dalam menganalisa prinsip utility bagi setiap individu dalam masyarakat. Dilanjutkan dengan prinsip kepuasan dalam mengkonsumsi barang halal dan haram dengan adanya budget constrain yang membatasi masyarakat dalam mencapai kepuasan. Bab 5 membahas tentang konsep dasar dalam melakukan produksi dalam pandangan Islam. Diawali dengan pengertian dari para ilmuwan muslim, dilanjutkan dengan kewajiban mendahulukan keshalehan dalam produksi. Pandangan Islam dalam maksimalisasi laba juga menjadi inti pembahasan dalam bab ini. Kemudian diakhiri dengan perbandingan pengaruh bunga dan bagi hasil terhadap pendapatan dan biaya produksi. Bab 6 membahas tentang penawaran dalam Islam. Diawali dengan faktor yang mempengaruhi penawaran, bagaimana bentuk kurva penawaran, hubungan penawaran dengan produksi. Dari sisi Islam, pajak dan zakat memiliki pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap laba produsen. Dan diakhiri dengan kewajiban dalam melakukan internalisasi biaya eksternal yang biasa dikeluarkan oleh seorang produsen. Bab 7 membahas tentang bagaimana pendapat ekonom muslim dalam melakukan permintaan dan penawaran. Dalam bab ini juga dibahas mekanisme pasar yang Islami dan pandangan Islam terhadap bentuk intervensi dari pemerintah dalam kegiatan penawaran dan permintaan suatu produk. Bab 8 membahas tentang kepemilikan dalam perspektif Islam. Diawali dengan konsep kepemilikan yang terbagi menjadi 3 (tiga) macam kepemilikan (Individu, sosial, dan negara), bentuk-bentuk hal milik beserta sebab kepemilikan suatu barang. Diakhiri dengan bagaimana Islam mengatur bentuk pemanfaatan dalam harta yang dimiliki oleh ummat. Bab 9 membahas tentang perbedaan antara monopoli dan ihtikar dalam pandangan Islam, ciri-ciri monopoli, intervensi pemerintah terkait monopoli yang diperbolehkan dan dilegalkan. Dan diakhiri dengan bagaimana dampak kerusakan akibat diberlakukannya monopoli dalam perekonomian mikro. Bab 10 membahas tentang prinsip dan konsep profit and loss sharing dalam ekonomi mikro. Bab ini membahas singkat tentang akad-akad ekonomi Islam yang menggunakan prinsip bagi hasil, serta bagaimana implementasinya dalam perekonomian masyarakat. Bab ini diakhiri dengan permasalahan yang sering timbul akibat diberlakukannya konsep profit and loss sharing. Bab 11 membahas tentang instrumen pilantropi yang ada dalam agama Islam dan memiliki peran penting dan potensi dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat mikro di Indonesia. Bab ini diakhiri dengan pengaruh ZISWAF jika mampu dikelola secara produktif dan professional bagi Indonesia.

I present this work in the hope that it will prompt my Readers to try and understand the divine Message in its original Arabic. They should remember that no translation can ever equal the Arabic text in its divine grandeur and pristine clarity. The divine Message of the Qur'aan remains valid for all times since its revelation until the Last Day. The Message therefore needs to be studied from time to time in changing perspectives of changing times. It would be wrong to confine it to circumstances of any past period. Most commentators so far have based their understanding of the Qur'aan in the strict perspective of circumstances and situations prevailing at the time of its revelation way back in 7th century. Muslim mindset generally has thus got stagnated and therefore unable to cope with changing situations of changing times.
