Buku ini merupakan hasil penelitian penulis secara mendalam (meradikal) terhadap pemikiran filosofis Kurikulum 2013 dengan pisau analisis Filsafat Pendidikan Islam yaitu membedah aliran pemikiran filsafat yang terkandung dalam Kurikulum 2013. Dengan demikian akan nampak dengan jelas arah dan tujuan Kurikulum 2013, sehingga dapat diverifikasi kevalidan Kurikulum 2013 apakah kurikulum tersebut berorientasi kepada masa depan, kemanusiaan, dan pengembangan keperibadian, akhlak, watak, wawasan dan intelektualitas, serta sekaligus membangun dan mengembangkan kebudayaan bangsa dan peradabannya. Serta sejauh mana implikasinya terhadap pendidikan Islam dengan menjadikan Filsafat Pendidikan Islam sebagai verifikator filosofis Kurikulum 2013, karena sebagian tokoh Islam dengan berani dan tegas bahwa Kurikulum 2013 adalah cerminan Kurikulum Pendidikan Islam. Tentunya penulis pun berharap demikian, sehingga paradigma pendidikan Islam pun menjadi pijakan terbangunnya kurikulum nasional di Indonesia dan sebagai dasar pengembangan Ilmu Pendidikan Islam.
