Filsafat Ilmu

Filsafat ilmu yang ditulis dalam buku ini untuk membahas apa (ontologi), bagaimana (epistemologi), dan untuk apa (aksiologi) sebagai wujud kegiatan keilmuan. Selanjutnya juga dikaji hakekat sarana berfikir ilmiah yang patut dikuasai seperti bahasa, logika, matematika dan statistika. Teknologi sebagai bentuk kongkrit penerapan pengetahuan ilmiah dalam memecahkan masalah mempunyai implikasi-implikasi moral dan sosial dalam pelaksanaannya. Materi filsafat ilmu yang terkandung dalam buku ini ada enam bab. Bab pertama tentang pendekatan dan beberapa pengertian filsafat. Bab kedua mengenai pengertian, manfaat dan ruang lingkup filsafat ilmu. Bab ketiga tentang metode, sistem berfikir ilmiah dalam perkembangan ilmu. Bab keempat tentang bangunan teori dalam filsafat ilmu dan pengetahuan. Bab kelima menjelaskan tentang sarana berfikir ilmiah dan prilaku ilmiah sedangkan Bab keenam tentang rangkuman : pengetahuan, metode ilmiah, struktur pengetahuan ilmiah dan ilmu dalam perspektif moral dan politik. Dengan demikian titik berat pembahasan diletakkan pada kesamaan yang terdapat dalam berbagai aliran dan bukan pada pembahasannya. Untuk pembahasan filsafat ilmu ini, maka pendekatan ilmiah dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Keutamaan kajian Filsafat Ilmu dalam buku ini bukanlah pendalaman yang bersifat teknis, melainkan pengkajian secara menyeluruh. Salah satu tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kajian buku ini untuk senang belajar Filsafat Ilmu, Sehingga pengkajian filsafat ilmu (das sein) tidak pernah bisa dilepaskan dari moral (das sollen). Sebab, ilmu tanpa moral seperti kapal tanpa kompas. Kaitan antara kebenaran (berkonotasi ilmiah) dan keadilan (berkonotasi moral), yang merupakan asas dalam menegakkan hukum Filsafat Ilmu ini diterbitkan oleh Penerbit Deepublish dan tersedia juga dalam versi cetak

Ekonomi Islam merupakan sistem ekonomi yang memiliki landasan hukum al-Qur’an dan al-Hadits, dan sangat berbeda dengan sistem ekonomi konvensional. Bagaimana suatu ilmu ekonomi dapat dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai agama? mengapa sistem ekonomi Islam berlandaskan al-Qur’an dan al-Hadist? Pertanyaan yang sumbernya adalah dari proses berfikir terkait dengan ekonomi Islam. Man Who Was Called for His Service

The idea of writing this biography occurred while my late wife Fahmida and I were visiting my Unchle Zaheer in Bedford, England, in April of 2018. Due to Fahmida’s illness, I was unable to attend Uncle Zahir’ 90th birthday that was clebreated in Bedford England in 2015. But soon thereafter, I gave my promise to him that I will attend his 95th birthday in 2020, and will also write his biography that I’ll publish and present it as a gift at his birthday. I made a special trip to England in September of last year to interview him in depth and to collect data on the various milestones of his life. I was amazed at his cognitive abilities at 94 years of age. He readily recollect memories from the years gone by and has no problem n retrieving old information from the archives of his life. This simple biography is written by keeping it candid, relavant and concise and is intended for his children and grand-children to read and retain many of the life’s lessons that he has shared throughout his narritive that became the foundation for this biography of my uncle Pastor Zahir Massey.
