Es werden auch neue Märkte erschlossen und die Zugangsbarrieren der etablierten Märkte aufgeweicht. In den letzten Jahren ist nicht nur der IT-Sektor gewachsen, er hat auch massive Veränderungen in anderen Sektoren ausgelöst. Wurden IT-Produkte früher vor allem zur Optimierung interner Abläufe in Unternehmen genutzt, so verändern diese mittlerweile auch traditionelle Geschäftsmodelle und das externe Bild vieler Unternehmen. Das Bankgewerbe wird durch diese Entwicklung direkt betroffen, da es sich hier um eine informationsabhängige Branche handelt. Nach einer durch die IT-Entwicklung ausgelösten internen Umstrukturierung, in welcher Arbeitsprozesse automatisiert und dadurch effizienter gestaltet wurden, wird nun schon seit einigen Jahren von vielen Banken die Möglichkeit alternativer Zugriffswege des Kunden auf die Bankdienstleistungen angeboten. Der Umfang reicht hierbei vom Telefon-Banking bis zum Electronic-Banking über das Internet. Eine zentrale Rolle wird in Zukunft das Internet als Kanal zu einer Bank einnehmen. Das Internet bildet die Plattform auf der sich der E-Commerce und damit das E-Banking abspielt. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie sich der Bankenbereich in Zukunft verändern wird. Das Erscheinungsbild traditioneller Banken wird sich von dem heutigen unterscheiden. Die Banken werden einer anderen Wettbewerbssituation ausgesetzt sein und sich Konkurrenten stellen müssen, die bisher nicht existent waren. Herausforderung der Banken im e-Commerce

Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Das Internet revolutioniert das Bankgeschäft: waren Kunden noch vor wenigen Jahren an die Öffnungszeiten ihrer Bankfiliale gebunden oder mussten auf einen Termin bei Ihrem Anlageberater warten, sind heute Information und Transaktion nur noch einen Mausklick weit entfernt. Das Internet schafft dem Bankkunden eine völlig neue Welt mit einem nahezu unbegrenzten Angebot an Informationsmöglichkeiten und einem zeitlich nicht mehr limitierten Zugang zu Finanzdienstleistungen. Experten gehen davon aus, dass langfristig nahezu 40 % aller Finanzgeschäfte ausschließlich über das Internet abgewickelt werden. Schon 2006 so die Prognose soll das Internet der strategisch wichtigste Vertriebskanal für Bankdienstleistungen sein, gefolgt vom Telefon und dem traditionellen Filialnetz. Der rasante Anstieg der Online-Konten auf insgesamt 20 Millionen, zu Beginn des Jahres 2002, belegt das große Interesse und die Akzeptanz der Kunden für Bankprodukte im Internet. Doch der Wettbewerb spielt sich nicht mehr auf den Internet-Banking-Seiten der jeweiligen Anbieter ab. Internet-Kunden sind verwöhnt durch die hohe Transparenz des Marktes für Finanzdienstleistungen im Internet, die unbegrenzten Wahl- und Vergleichsmöglichkeiten und die geringen Transaktions- und Wechselkosten. Die Bereitschaft, die Kontoverbindung zu wechseln bzw. mehrere Kontoverbindungen zu unterhalten, nimmt zu. Hinzu kommt das Auftreten einstmals fremder Akteure im Bankgeschäft, den sog. Non- und Nearbanks, auf einem von der Anbieterseite gesättigten Markt. Dies zwingt die Banken zu neuen Strategien im e-Commerce. Für die Banken geht es darum, sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen Internet und Kunden zu positionieren und die Rolle eines Netzwerkkoordinators einzunehmen. Die Entwicklungen an der Schnittstelle, zwischen Finanzdienstleistungen und e-Commerce, wird in der aktuellen Diskussion wesentlich durch die Aktivitäten im Zusammenhang mit Finanzportalen geprägt. Das Konzept des Finanzportals zielt darauf ab, dem Privatkunden einen Kompass für seine Finanzdisposition an die Hand zu geben. Dem Kunden soll im Zuge einer One-Stop-Shopping -Anlaufstelle im Netz die Möglichkeit geboten werden, sich über unterschiedlichste Finanzdienstleitungen zu informieren, diese zu vergleichen und auszuwählen. Decision Factors for the Adoption of E-finance and Other E-commerce Activities

The development of e-commerce relies upon consumer usage intentions. In order to pursue better measures for predicting and explaining business to customer (B2C) e-finance and some other major e-commerce adoptions for consumers, a comparison analysis across three different online systems (online shopping, online banking and online payment) was conducted to advance the understanding of the adoption factors and their linkage to consumer behavior. Results of this empirical study showed that the relationships between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and intention of use were positive and significant towards all three online systems, while perceived risk had a negative impact on the adoption of online shopping and online payment only.
