Abstrak
This study discusses the managerial competence of madrasah heads in improving the quality of education at RA Ibnu Batuta Bekasi City for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The study is motivated by the rapid development and progress of madrasas in this era of digitalization, progress in the field of education requires educational administrators who are able to manage educational units and are able to improve the quality of education in achieving educational goals. The research in this thesis is descriptive with a qualitative approach, data collection with interview, observation and documentation techniques, while data analysis uses data reduction techniques, data display, data validity check and then conclusion drawn. The results of the study stated that: 1) The managerial competence of the head of RA Ibnu Batuta Bekasi City in improving the quality of education has not been optimal, in terms of planning and organization has been carried out well by the Principal but not optimal in terms of supervision and evaluation, 2) The supporting factor of the Principal in improving the quality of education is teacher experience, adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as support from school residents, the inhibiting factor is low teacher motivation, some teachers have not mastered educational technology, rarely conduct teacher training, teachers have not mastered learning methods, and lack of teacher participation in discipline, and 3) Efforts made in improving teacher performance are the Principal supervises and supervises, motivates teachers so that teachers become more enthusiastic in work, and conduct coaching so that teachers can carry out their duties well and achieve maximum results, the Head of RA should hold briefings and training to teachers and education personnel about the use and mastery of educational technology, emphasized to teachers so that in the implementation of the learning process can master learning methods can be achieved, and often conduct development training programs for teachers.
