Islamic Religious Education can be defined as education carried out based on Islamic teachings. But nowadays Islamic Religious Education as a scientific discipline and subjects at every level of education still finds obstacles, including that it has not received the attention of students, this is because it is better known as a subject whose material content is dominated by memorization and does not pay attention to the development of learning strategy designs. Concrete efforts are needed to improve learning in Islamic Education subjects, especially at the basic education level. As a solution, it is necessary to make innovations in Islamic education learning, namely innovations that are able to improve learning through problematic studies and strategic solutions for the implementation of Islamic education through a constructive model. The implementation of Islamic Education learning in schools is not only oriented towards rote learning, it is not only inclined to teacher centered. The constructivism learning model seems to be one of the answers that provides knowledge and shapes the attitudes, personalities, and skills of students in practicing teachings. The constructive learning model is able to have an impact on the activity of students or students are preferred. The teaching and learning process in the constructivism model is characterized more by student centered than teacher centered. Constructive model innovation is able to become a strategic solution in improving the implementation of Islamic Education learning at the basic education level.

2025 · Article · Open Access

This paper explores the development of AI-powered Android-based learning media to enhance immersive learning experiences. Utilizing Design-Based Research (DBR), the study involved the iterative design, development, and evaluation of an interactive Android application. AI tools, including ChatGPT, Quizziz AI, and various image generation software, were embedded to personalize and support the learning process. The app's interactive features, such as quizzes and instant feedback mechanisms, aim to increase learner engagement and motivation. Preliminary testing among trainers highlighted the app's effectiveness in improving user experience and the potential for broader adoption in educational settings. The results suggest that integrating AI into mobile learning platforms can enhance the accessibility and adaptability of educational content. Future research will focus on further app refinements and assessing its long-term impact on student learning outcomes.

It is common knowledge that men are the leaders of women, but Islam also encourages gender equality in education, which can be seen in the prophetic direction and the lives of salaf scholars, where at that time many female scholars emerged. Even so, religious boundaries must still be considered where in teaching and learning practice there can be no ikhtilat or mixing between men and women, therefore in the field of Islamic education, especially pesantren, it becomes a need for pesantren which only consists of women to the top. . In recent years, there has been a growing interest in women's leadership in these schools, as many Muslim women are seeking to become religious leaders. This comparative study aims to examine women's leadership in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam. In addition, we used thematic comparative analysis to analyze the data collected from the interviews. The results are; in Indonesia, women often serve as heads of pesantren, focusing on collaborative, community-oriented leadership emphasizing service and mutual support. Conversely, female leadership in Malaysian Islamic schools is relatively rare, characterized by hierarchical structures and strict rule enforcement. Brunei Darussalam displays limited female leadership, with some exceptions following a conservative, values-centered approach. The study underscores the influence of cultural, social, and religious factors on women's leadership styles in Islamic educational institutions.
